A construction site is a boundary, a restricted zone where we are not even passive bystanders. Although we may see them constantly hosting volumes, dusty machines, and workers in reflective vests, and we also perceive invisible sounds from them, the truth is that about the origin and nature of such noises we can only refer to the action bubble that exists beyond the site itself.
"Taipal" is an audiovisual project resulting from a drift-walk through the city of Porto, capturing images and sounds in the extended area with constant ongoing construction.
The project was presented at the first edition of the Eureka micro-festival, promoted by Porta-Jazz, on January 7, 2024.

Uma obra é uma fronteira, uma zona de interdição sobre a qual não somos sequer voyeurs de circunstância. Muito embora assistamos a que tais estorvos à passagem aceitem constantemente volumes, máquinas poeirentas e trabalhadores de colete refletor, como em troca também recebemos deles sons invisíveis, certo é que sobre a origem e natureza de tais ruídos apenas podemos referir a bolha de ação ultra-taipal.
"Taipal" é um projeto audiovisual, resultado de uma deriva pela cidade do Porto, recolhendo imagens e sons na zona de embate com obras em curso.
Foi apresentado na primeira edição do micro-festival Eureka, promovido pela Porta-Jazz no dia 7 de Janeiro de 2024.
